The mission of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is to ensure the future of elk, other wildlife, their habitat, and our hunting heritage. RMEF has been involved in reintroducing elk in southwestern Virginia and continues to fund projects that create and maintain young forest habitat on both public and private land in the region.
